Tulseboda Design creates surface pattern designs where nostalgia and vintage aesthetics are combined with modern, in-demand styles. Here you will find inspiring interpretations of patterns and styles from past eras. The designs are ready to be licensed to products such as wallpaper, bedding textiles, curtains, cushion covers, notebooks, greeting cards, and gift wrap.
Choose from collections that include hero prints, coordinates, and blenders in a variety of colorways.
The pattern designs are available for licensing, featuring harmonious color palettes and imperfect lines. The collections are built around a story or a memory from my life. Hopefully they evoke emotions, or perhaps even a smile from the viewer. Patterns can bring back memories – a sun-faded wallpaper from a childhood home. A birthday card from a friend long ago. A plaid, heirloom dress with worn seams and thin fabric. A blanket in grandfather’s red velvet sofa.
I’m Karin Östergren, and I run Tulseboda Design. I don’t just sell a pattern that ends up on a flat, anonymous surface. Eventually, the pattern could become a floral wallpaper in a cozy kitchen, or striped, freshly washed, cool sheets. Or a plaid notebook wrapped in carefully chosen gift wrap, accompanied by a lovely greeting card with a handwritten message.
Patterns are everywhere, and the possibilities for discovering new ones are endless! I find inspiration in nature, architecture and interior details from the Arts & Crafts-period, Art Nouveau up to the 1950s.
You’re more than welcome to contact me. Perhaps you’re looking for a custom solution, with patterns that enhance your products and brand while appealing to your customers. Are you a pattern buyer or designer seeking designs in a specific scale, color palette, or style?
